Dining out
One of the biggest complaints I have heard from friends is that it's to difficult to be Vegan and eat out. It seems that there are no vegan friendly resturaunts around. Yes, being a Vegan can make it hard when you want to dine out, but there are places you can go that cater to vegan costomors and there are also plenty of grocery stores that carry vegan products as well.
My personal favorites in Honolulu:
Down to Earth -
Health Food/Vegan Grocery store w/ cafe
2525 S King Street
Honolulu, Hawaii 96826
Champa Thai- They have a wide viriaty of vegitarian dishes most of which are also vegan.
2452 Waialae Avenue
Honolulu, Hawaii 96816
Volcano Joes Bistro-
1810 University Ave
Honolulu, Hawaii
Whole Foods-
211 Waialae Ave

Say NO to Ringling Bros.
Hey guys I wanted to post a direct link to the YouTube video about Peta's investigation of the Ringling Bros. You can also go to (http://www.ringlingbeatsanimals.com) and learn what can do to help stop this animal abuse. Check it out.
"Veg-out" with a good book
The second book is called "Slaughterhouse: The Shocking Story of Greed, Neglect, and Inhumane Treatment Inside the U.S. Meat Industry." Be warned this book is not for the fait of heart and definitely not G rated. It goes into descriptive detail of animal abuse and brutality within the meat packing industry. (This book was so horrific it took me a month to read.) As gruesome as it is, it is extremely informative and is a first hand account of what WE do to these helpless animals all over the country.

Ringling Bros. friends or foe?
Peta recently went undercover at Ringling Bros. Circus and uncovered what they say is extreme animal cruelty. Below is a link to Peta where you can find the video footage, as well as details about their on going investigation. There is also a link to just the video footage on youtube. Some say these videos speak for themselves, and other say they should be "open to interpretation." (Whatever that means) When I see these videos all I see is cruelty and abuse. Decide for your selves what to make of these video clips.
